“Carolina Bank had faith in us.”
“They helped us accomplish our mission.”
“We are so grateful for Carolina Bank.”
Perhaps it’s a bit unusual to hear a bank described with words like these rather
than numbers. But then, Carolina Bank isn’t a typical bank. Our person-to-person
banking style means that people – not numbers – are at the heart of everything we
do.
Of course, as a full-service community bank, our primary goal is to provide our
customers exceptional banking products and personalized solutions to meet their
financial needs.
But our role as a community bank also means that we are active partners in contributing
to the improvement and enrichment of the communities we serve. It’s a philosophy
we call “doing well by doing good,” and it’s a commitment we take very seriously.
What does “doing well by doing good” mean?
Sometimes it means developing creative funding solutions for nonprofit groups that
are challenged with limited resources, such as the Girl Scouts Tarheel Triad Council.
Because of Carolina Bank’s “doing well by doing good” philosophy, more than 15,300
girls in thirteen North Carolina counties have a Girl Scout Service Center for working,
playing and learning.
Other times, it means our staff and board members are rolling up their sleeves and
donating their time with charities like Greensboro Beautiful. Or serving in volunteer
leadership roles with organizations such as the North Carolina Zoo Society , Asheboro/Randolph
Chamber of Commerce, or Alamance County United Way.
Supporting the community also means financial contributions, both as a company and
our employees as individuals. For example, Carolina Bank is a long-time corporate
sponsor of Greensboro Symphony, which we view as one way to improve the quality
of life for area citizens while providing education and cultural enrichment to youth.
Since our inception in 1996 as the only locally owned community bank based in Greensboro,
we at Carolina Bank have built our reputation on an old-fashioned person-to-person
style of banking, symbolized by the handshake.
For us, the philosophy of “doing well by doing good” goes hand-in-hand with the
way we care for our customers.
